Images Beyond Photography
Images Beyond Photography
Anyone who knows me is aware that photography is not my vocation but is my avocation. I spend a great deal of my spare time “chasing butterflies” as one friend reminded me. Wildlife and scenery are two things I love to photograph, especially around the beautiful state of West Virginia. In late 2010 I was juried into Tamarack of West Virginia’s fine arts gallery, for photography, and will have pieces on display there from time to time throughout the coming years. Tamarack is a center for artists and artisans from West Virginia run by the Tamarack Foundation and is dedicated to helping spread the news about the arts in West Virginia. It is a great showcase of, as they say “The Best of West Virginia”.
From the “Lobby” (see link above), you can find links to the various web sites where my artwork is on display, including Flickr, Imagekind, and Mobile Me. You can check out some interesting items at Zazzle created using my photography and digital artwork.
For anyone who was present at Twin Falls Resort State Park, for the classes on tracking and the uses of native plants, be sure to go to my Mobile Me galleries and see the specific gallery of photos from the weekend! Feel free to download any pictures you like from that gallery, as well. They will be available for download through the end of this month. If you are interested in any photos after that, please email me directly!
I will try to post notices of gallery showings here on my home page, whenever something new arises! Thanks for stopping by!

Beginning in March, I will have several pieces on display once again, in the fine arts gallery at Tamarack, in the exhibit Wildflowers of the New River Gorge. That show will run through May, so be sure and stop in if you are driving through Beckley!
